Hildegard Gunzel Dolls
When preparing my
new 2010 collection, Encounters, I thought of the words of the famous
German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe: 'Each idea makes its appearance as a
strange guest, and as it starts to become reality it can hardly be distinguished
from fantasy.' It is fantasy with the help of which the initially shadowy idea
can be realized. By and by my dolls are taking shape and becoming personalities.
It is an enchanting and touching moment - this first encounter with my
