When you encounter Alice in Wonderland, you will notice that my Alice differs from the way she is usually represented, explains Hildegard, The early illustrations of the story do not comply with the current depictions; in Art Nouveau Alice looked completely different than she does today and so I took the liberty of creating my own Alice.
Alice is a remarkable wax-over-porcelain doll. Her blond, lavishly manufactured curled wig is made of genuine European hair and embellished with ribbons. Alice's mid-blue hand-blown glass eyes beautifully complement her fair complexion. She wears a fine apron made of silk georgette and decorated with a hand-smocked yoke over an exquisite dress sewn from delicate silk fabric with a lovely pastel floral design. Her lavish undergarment with numerous tulle frills adds volume and a touch of delicacy to her ensemble. Alice comes with her friends, a little card-bear and the White Rabbit. Made of silk mohair, these furry little fellows were designed by Isolde von Malchus. The Flamingo chair (sold separately) is perfect for displaying your Alice!
