Samantha's Collectibles

Harmony Kingdom's Treasure Jests are handcrafted in the English Cotswolds. Made from a special crushed marble and resin mixture, each has the look and feel of ivory. Every Treasure Jest is sculpted by master carver Peter Calvesbert and is a charming and humorous animal portrayal. These box figurines are ideal for storing tiny treasures. One Treasure Jest is an unusual gift and conversation piece; many make for a fascinating and absorbing collection.

Peter loves watching TV wildlife documentaries. In this box figurine he pays tribute to the zebra, which rarely makes it through to the end of the program. The zebra, usually a victim and preyed upon by predators, here turns the tables and pays the lioness a lesson. The lioness has Swiss Army knife claws, a sticky plaster on a previous wound and a pierced tongue. The sticky plaster is a cartoon motif that occasionally appears in HK boxes. The mouse makes a full appearance, this time bravely baring paws, stomach, bottom and tail as he mirrors the zebra's courage. Around the base is the Latin inscription, "Mites possidebunt terram" meaning "The meek shall inherit the earth."
